I'm so excited to be offering this fabulous and fun Nav & Natter weekend based at the wonderful Southdowns YHA near Lewes.Day 1: Meet at YHA 9am for a cuppa, introductions and a chat about all things maps before heading out for our Nav & Natter walk straight from the hostel. Aimed at complete novices or those who feel a bit crap with a map, this stunning day walk will take about 5 to 6 hours & will suit those with moderate fitness, who are happy with stiles and walking at a comfortable pace for the group... it's by no means an endurance test! You'll each have your own map & compass, I'll teach navigation skills along the way, such as how to set the map to make sense of where you're going, how to work out distance, timing and introducing the compass. We'll stop for snacks, packed lunch and return to the cafe in time for a tea time cuppa!
7pm: After chill out time to yourself and dinner (self catering, YHA cafe or local pub options), we'll spend a couple of hours watching short Adventure Films hosted by Chloe from Now on Earth Adventures, followed by an evening of chatting by the fire about our adventure dreams & barriers over a glass of wine (or whatever takes your fancy!)
Day 2: After a lovely hearty YHA breakfast (or BYO), the Sunday will be shorter walk over the Downs, guided by the group with your new nav skills to a pub for lunch! You'll be on your way home from the YHA by 2pm chuffed with your new map skills, inspired by others and itching to get out on your next adventure, whatever that may be.
COST: £165 pp or BOOK IN JANUARY for the early bird discount - £150.
PLUS YHA also offering 20% discount on all accommodation if booked in January. I highly recommend staying at the YHA for at least one night - a great charity to support too.

- 1.5 days navigation training by qualified Mountain Leader
