Families with children and/or leashed pets are absolutely part of the community and welcome. Remember to bring a sitting towel for use on all chairs or benches. Insect repellent can also be a very good idea, and cash or card (if you wish to try our famous restaurant). That’s pretty much all you need!
Prepare for a delightful evening you won't forget with a very special gathering of intentional humans. The pool, hot tub, sauna, and many other resort amenities will all be available for everyones’ enjoyment. Please remember to use the showers before entering the pool or hot tub.
Feel free to come early and explore the resort if you like (The beautiful nature trails are highly recommended!). Overnight and weekend camping rates are available with cabins or tenting spots. The "Naturally Nude Cafe" opens daily from 10am to 2pm and from 6 to 8pm(Check website for any changes) with a variety of healthy options including vegan and vegetarian.

If it starts to rain, we move the drum circle into the pavilion and that can be a lot of fun too, so don't let poor weather dissuade you.
So what's the big idea here anyway?
The Naturist philosophy is largely about conscious respect for nature, including the natural human body, as all wholesome and honorable, without shameful stigma. Our intention is that our natural diversity should be respected honorably without prejudice or discrimination so long as the same respect is returned. Many from all walks of life enjoy this intentional atmosphere where we can be natural without hiding behind the contrived masks of made-up fashion, and where we can be in the company of others who participate in the community of shared naturism. It really is a family.
Feel free to invite respectful, trustworthy friends. All who attend should understand that we behave at least as courteously as any family-friendly clothed community. Anyone with lurid assumptions about natural human nudity has the **WRONG** idea. Please try not to bring that energy. Don't be that person, and don't invite that person.
Predatory comments, behavior, or “humor” are not welcome, and offenders may be asked to leave, but respectful questions are welcome and encouraged. Neither moralizing body-shame nor predatory harassment will be tolerated in this intentional space. Please REPORT, REPORT, REPORT uncomfortable behavior from strangers! You should not have to leave, THEY should have to leave! Anyone making crass remarks or unsolicited advances or non-consensual touch spoils the healing atmosphere that we have created here for everyones' enjoyment and self-development, so predatory behavior is not welcome or tolerated.
This space is designed intentionally to be a *refuge* from all that. Please talk to me, staff, or management if anyone needs a friendly reminder about their behavior or a boot to the exit. If there is anything we can do to improve your visit and make it even more comfortable, healing, and empowering, we love constructive feedback! ❤
First time? Not sure you are ready? We have all been first-timers too. When/where to overcome body shame and get naked for yourself is a decision we each make independently. This is about your own personal growth, development, and liberation. Some people leave home naked and drive here that way (😉). Others strip when they arrive. First-timers often undress little-by-little over the course of the evening as they realize for themselves how empowering and free this special community really is, where nobody will judge them. The area around the pool/hot-tub/sauna is strictly for naturism only, and all are respectfully expected to either undress completely or avoid the pool area, out of respect for the naturist intention of body positivity in that space, but, of course, it is encouraged everywhere, weather-permitting. Many clothing-mandatory venues are widely available for those who prefer to cover themselves, so that's fine, just not in spaces created for naturism, since it's disrespectful to the meaningful values that we come here to share in this special resort created for sharing that commonality specifically.
Naturism is the intended space that we gather to hold, so we do hope you come intending to try. Getting past the first time is always the hardest, but within minutes you'll forget you're naked. The empowerment you will experience over stigmatized conditioning is transformative. We gather as naturists who make the choice to break the shameful message of brainwashed clothingism and push past limiting fear in order to fully accept and embrace our own natural bodies in healthy community. Clothing addiction in a naturist space can perpetuate the negative body-stigma that this community aims to dispel, and it can detract from the vibe that we gather to manifest. For similar reasons to why you might not attend AA meetings with a beer in your hand, you might also not attend naturist events with clothes on, if it's not cold etc.
We gratefully share this designated space for this purpose. Compulsive clothing in a naturist resort can tend to support a sense of contagious stigma in an environment which is meant to honor our bodies unconditionally. Outside of Sunsport, we support a fully clothing-optional public regardless, where each should be free to make their own choice either way, but intentional naturism in designated spaces like ours is about honoring one’s own body enough to actively come out from behind any covering to accept all bodies fully, especially one’s own.
The shared vulnerability is what makes the level-ground of naturism so powerful, so that is why it is required around the pool, hot tub, and sauna area, and it is expected during good weather throughout the resort, though only enforced in the pool area.
Naturism has been developing as an intentional philosophy widely around the world, but largely under the radar of establishment media coverage. Many are surprised to learn that such places as Sunsport carry the baton of a long cultural history among those who opt-out of shame and out of many other impositions against healthy nature. The intention of naturism is largely about cultivating mutual equality and humble vulnerability by overcoming the baggage of compulsive clothingism along with disingenuous pretenses in general, so the active practice of naturism carries meaningful spiritual significance for many of us. It is more than a preference, but also a principled philosophy with meaningful implications.
Sanctuaries like Sunsport are special as a refuge to cultivate and share an awakening awareness away from the terrible lie that bodies are shameful, or that dignity comes from clothing. Humans of every shape are honorable, wholesome, and beautiful as nature intended, so we hope to provide a safe space at Sunsport for all to restore this freedom to themselves.
Of course, cold-weather clothing is worn when it's chilly out. You will definitely find us well-insulated on cool days, so don't worry about that, but skimpy clothing/shorts/underwear/etc. in a naturist resort is a defeated insult to your full natural self and to the whole idea of the naturist intention. Such thinking has been imposed by institutions that wish to profit from products, repress human nature, and exploit gullible minds into a state of self-shamed compliance. But your natural body deserves your full respect as a natural art-form, from head to toe, regardless of your physical condition. Clothing is submission to a shameful lie that naturists wholeheartedly renounce. It is not shameful to be simply human, it is only shameful to be ashamed.
While clothing is permitted in certain areas, we hope you can discover the courage to break clothingist addiction here and take profound pride in your full natural self. Nobody will say anything either way, and it's okay to take your time, but whenever you are ready, this is a perfect place to break that compulsion and set yourself truly free.
We love this place and we love the philosophy, so we hope you too enjoy this escape from compulsive clothingism! We are here for you! <3 To some people who have never been outside obsessive clothingist contexts it might sound very strange, intimidating, or even morally questionable to simply be themselves as a human body without cowering behind the fashions of shame, but "naturism/nudism/ethical non-clothingism" is about personal enlightenment, transcendence, self-acceptance, liberation, and expansion of the free mind while shedding the insulting and degraded lies about our honest human selves.
Whether you are perfectly comfortable without clothes or terrified of the concept for whatever reason(we've heard them all), you are not alone, and you will meet kind, supportive friends to help you discover self-acceptance and freedom from the debilitating myths and paranoid pressures of the irrational, brainwashed clothingist conditioning that has been forcefully "normal"ized by delusional institutions of manipulative control.
While naturism is not merely about nakedness per-se, clothing is a deeply infected symbol of shame and self-subjugation, so physically separating ourselves from clothes in an intentional community space is a powerful expression of unapologetic self. Being un-hidden together as friends is a powerful expression of unconditional respect as humble equals. Your natural form is your very own unique embodiment of conscious self-awareness, so that is the love that invites you to discover what it means to get beyond clothing for yourself. ♥
