About this Event
This walk will begin and end at the Heron's Head EcoCenter and will focus on marsh and shorebird ecology, oyster restoration, and a trip to the new India Basin Park at 900 Innes.
The tides will be very low on that date and conditions will be ideal for winter shorebird and marsh ecology observations.
This walk will be approximately 3 miles round trip.
Walk Leaders: Emil Fogarino & Miguel Dimas
Emil is a local naturalist and educator who recently retired from teaching marine biology and natural history at Washington High SF. As a native San Franciscan Emil enjoys sharing and learning about the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Miguel manages the EcoCenter at Heron's Head Park. He is a scientist and educator and loves connecting San Franciscans to nature and increasing representation in the environmental field.

Heavy rain will cancel. We will send out an announcement the morning of the walk if we decide to cancel.
