Come along to explore the Campbells Bay Urban Sanctuary in our Walk & Talk event! Learn how to restore your stream as well as choosing the most reliable natives plants. We will also show you how to identify and manage pest plants while discovering native treasures such as Parsonsia (native jasmine), Passiflora (native passionfruit), Kahikatea, NZ begonia (Parataniwha), Kiekie and many more.
We'll also showcase the restoration work we've done, including fencing and before-and-after pictures, and share fascinating info about Kokopu (their egg-laying and reliance on king tides) and Kakahi (freshwater mussels).
The walk will last about 1 hour, and it's a great opportunity to connect with nature and learn how we can all help restore this beautiful space.
