About this Event
Join us for a nature walk along the Humber river. We will share the history of Toronto’s ravines and the plants and animals that live there. Together we will experience the ravine in fall colours and maybe even witness migrating salmon. After, we will enjoy a picnic in the park with free baked goods from COBBS bakery!
Meet us at the picnic tables near the parking lot at Etienne Brule Park (near old mill TTC) at 10 am.
The walk will begin promptly at 10:15 am; please try to arrive closer to 10 am. The tour is approximately 3 km in distance and takes place on mostly paved pathways. There are some unpaved portions of the route that take place in city parks. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather.
Baked goods will be provided; please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions. We will also provide water bottles, but please bring a reusable water bottle if you have one to reduce waste.
The goal of this event is to experience the wonder of the ravines and to build community ties with one another. Please come with an open mind for both! For those who like to mentally prepare for group ice breakers: we will be asking participants to share something that has brought them joy recently, so feel free to reflect on this prior to the event :)
