STARTING IN SEPTEMBER! Forest Therapy. This is not your traditional talk therapy. We meet in the woods. We are in a group. We will be experiencing Nature Time.
Studies show that being in nature can lower stress and help us focus. We need some quiet time where the focus is only on us. Mindfulness. Time to reset.
Walking and being in nature allows the brain to release "feel-good" neurotransmitters and increase body temperature, which is thought to have a calming effect on the brain. Wouldn't you agree your brain could use some calming down?
Join the Nature Therapy group, which begins Thursday, September 11, at 6 pm. We will meet in a local Ann Arbor park, start with a short walk into the woods, pause for awareness mindfulness exercises, refresh, and then walk back. The group is 1 hour in length. Weekly. Come if you can, no commitment. Cost is $20 per person per session.
