The Nature Sauntering Circle will be a monthly gathering that invites participants to encounter spirituality through direct engagement with the natural world. Rooted in the belief that spirituality is both an interior journey and a deeply collective experience, the circle honors every participant’s unique perspective and fosters collective meaning-making. Rather than simply discussing spirituality, the circle offers opportunities to rewild and enliven spiritual life through mindful presence in nature. The Nature Sauntering Circle welcomes all who wish to deepen their spiritual lives through nature. Each gathering is an opportunity to rewild spirituality, honor every experience, and discover sacred wisdom in the living world through the ancient practice of sauntering.
Guiding Principles
• Spirituality as Interior and Collective: Each person’s experience is valued, and the group engages in shared reflection to deepen understanding.
• Honoring Every Experience: All insights and emotions are welcomed, creating a safe and inclusive space.
• Rewilding Spirituality: The invitation is to move beyond abstract conversation and encounter the sacred directly through nature.
• Nature as Teacher: Nature is embraced as a guide, companion, confidant, and catalyst for accessing wisdom.
• Sauntering as Spiritual Practice: Sauntering is an ancient spiritual practice of slowly and reverently wandering through nature, open to the possibility of an encounter with a particular place, wild being, or the unknown. The practice centers on simply walking with slowness, listening with tenderness, and pausing often.
