About this Event

Spend a fall morning amongst the turning leaves at the Ledges learning mindful photography with Christine Baker. The Look Again mindful photography method is a simple, low-tech approach that weaves photography, mindfulness, and connection with nature.

During the event, we'll use our cell phone cameras to create photos of the colors, shapes, textures, and ordinary moments nature shares with us that we often overlook. Exploring the world this way invites us to relax, reframe, and nurture our well-being. What will we see when we slow down, look, and look again at the natural world around us?

No previous photography experience necessary! Mindful photography is not about the tech of capturing a "perfect" photo. It's about the process of looking and seeing differently, with curiosity, compassion, and gratitude. All you need is a fully charged cell phone and an open mind.

This program is part of the Nature Rx program. For more details on the program, please visit .

About Christine Baker

Christine is a self-taught photographer trained in the evidence-based Look Again mindful photography method. The Look Again approach helps people, organizations, and communities nurture well-being and resilience by learning to see through key principles of mindfulness — paying attention with intention, in the present moment, without judgement. She is one of over 170 trained Look Again practitioners from 30 countries, including well-being practitioners, coaches and creative professionals, who are sharing the impacts of mindful photography in diverse communities around the world.

Christine teaches mindful photography locally at contemplative retreat centers and coaches people on developing their own mindful photography practices. She enjoys working with people new to mindfulness as they discover the power of their own curiosity. She recently began using mindful photography in her professional work as an evaluation and strategy consultant to nonprofit organizations. She finds that creating and holding spaces for reflection and spaciousness with her clients allows them to think differntly about their relationships, decision making, and potential community impact.
