About this Event
This month – site management and ditch digging!
This month we will be developing the education hide by continuing our depression digging efforts! These ditches will work to encourage biodiversity and hopefully become a new habitat for all kinds of creatures.
Join our young volunteers and get hands on experience of managing a nature reserve and recording the wildlife.
These volunteering hours can count towards a Duke of Edinburgh Award or can be recorded as work experience on your CV, plus you’re helping to do your bit for the environment!
Please dress for the weather and bring suitable waterproof clothing. Wear sturdy boots/footwear.
Activities across different sessions may include:
- Hand tool use
- Painting
- Planting
- Grass cutting and raking
- Litter picking
- Surveying
- Species ID
- Nature themed crafts
