Eager to learn more about the world around you? Then join us at Polk's Nature Discovery Center as we start our 2024-2025 Nature Lecture Series!
From October 2024, through May 2025, Polk's Nature Discovery Center will be hosting a different lecture each month; highlighting an aspect of the natural world.
For the month of December, wildife ecologist, Dr. Monica Folk will join us to share her experience working with Red Cockaded Woodpeckers (RCWs), an endangered species in the state of Florida.
This is presentation will be held in Polk's Nature Discovery Center's Workshop from 6:00pm-6:45pm with time for questions and answers to follow. Come learn about the life history of RCWs, and the inovative techniques that are being utilized today to reintroduce and save this rare species.

Who should sign up for this? For learners of all ages.
Tickets & Sign-Ups: Tickets are not required, but recommended. Signing up will allow us to know the number of participants planning to attend. If spots are available on the day of the event, spots may be open for other visitors.
1 ticket is needed per person. 1 ticket = 1 person
