Masters of nature journaling like Darwin, Thoreau and Lewis & Clark used visual expression along with words to convey in rich detail the natural world. This class is a starting point for learning the basic skills needed for visual expression. In the classroom, you will practice techniques of drawing in black and white along with the use of color with watercolors. Then, after a BYO lunch, you are invited to stay for an optional afternoon workshop on the preserve’s prairie to practice observation and drawing skills. Class limit is 14 people. RSVPs REQUIRED to [email protected]. Supplies not included. For a supply list, visit https://jdcf.org/event/nature-journaling-with-watercolor/.
