Nature journaling is a wonderful way to learn more about the place we live in and get to know the animals, plants, seasonal changes and other aspects of the land and its history.
In these classes we share what we have seen, talk about a chosen topic for the week and paint in our nature journals using pencil, watercolour and pen techniques.
Julie is passionate about art and about nature connection and guides students to learn new techniques as well as learn together about the place we live in.
Classes are ongoing and attendance can be casual or regular. Classes are sold either singly or as a five-class pass. These can be purchased on the day.
Classes begin at 5:30pm and finish at 7:30pm. They are held in the cafe which is an accessible space. Food and drinks from the cafe are available if orders are made by 3pm on the day.
This class is always held indoors and though students are encouraged to spend time in nature during the week to take photographs or collect ideas and information, in the classes we work from reference books, photographs, website information and cuttings or found items.
Classes run during school terms. Five class passes can be used over multiple terms.
You don't need materials for your first class, but you can find a list of suggested items to get here: https://juliebrett.net/amazon-links/
We hope you'll be able to join us!
