About this Event

Join the Nature Journaling Group! We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of every month.

Oct 9: Collecting colors – October in New England is the month of color: how many colors can we identify outside? After a brief outdoor stroll near the creek (weather permitting), we will finish indoors with a fall leaf comparison.

Keeping a nature journal offers a way to practice your nature-noticing skills and allow the earth to remind you of the resiliency of life.

Our goal is to help you experience the sense of wellbeing that can come through deepening your relationship with nature by providing the space and structure to engage with the natural world around you. This hour and a half workshop will include time to experience nature, direction on a journaling technique, and opportunities to practice your new writing skills. We'll take advantage of our proximity to the rail trail and go outside to take in the sights, smells, and sounds of the trees and water. If there is bad weather, we'll stay inside and connect with The Nature Connection's plants and animals instead.

Materials Needed - We highly recommend bringing your own journal (paper & pens/pencils can be provided if necessary).

This event is open to everyone! Bring a friend, make it a date night, or come on your own. The Nature Connection is an open, welcoming, and supportive space. Come as you are and enjoy a guided nature experience in an intimate small group setting. Connect with nature like never before.

If there are any accomodations we can provide so that you get the most out of your time wtih us, pelase let us know!
