It’s Great Big Green Week! Join us for a FREE NATURE DAY in collaboration with Wokingham Borough Council at Rooks Nest Wood.Free self-guided family nature rambles: Come and discover the meadows and woodland of this lovely green place. Early June is a great time to get out on a nature ramble and we’ll be encouraging you to use our free wildlife spotter sheets to help you explore. Come back and tell us what you’ve found!
1.30pm: Guided walk with Warden Richard: To celebrate the transformation of Rooks Nest Wood from former agricultural grazing land to thriving nature reserve, join Warden Richard for a brief trip through 10,000 years of our relationship to the land, using Rooks Nest Wood as our teacher. ‘Heathland, Farmland, Our Land’ will start from the gazebo at 1.30pm and last 45 minutes.
Free copies of our ‘Greenspace on your doorstep’ booklet to take away, for anyone who comes to say hello.
