This event is free to attend for unaccompanied children aged 5 – 11 years old and will include minibeast hunts, conservation activities, creating habitats, pond dipping and sensory and exploratory activities to learn about nature in fun ways.
The Amersham Nature Champions project aims to increase engagement with the natural world for members of the Amersham community by providing fun and educational sessions based at Amersham Field Centre Mop End.
Working in conjunction with Wild Amersham and Sustainable Amersham sessions will get people outside being physically active and learning more about the wildlife and ecosystems found around Amersham and what can be done to increase biodiversity in their local area.
This project is fully funded by Amersham and Villages Community Board meaning that sessions are free of charge.
Please dress for being outdoors and bring a packed lunch.
To help plan and safely staff the sessions please book a place in advance via our website: https://www.field-studies-council.org/courses-and-experiences/static-courses/eco-adventures-at-amersham/
This event is for residents of the Amersham Community Board area (Amersham Chesham Bois Little Chalfont and Coleshill)
