Experience Nature after Dark and join us for an evening in the woods. We will discuss nocturnal species and have a go at activities such as whittling and lighting fires.
This is one of two events for young people aged 9-16 in partnership with Wild Wonder and Wisdom. We will be practicing bushcraft skills including whittling and lighting fires, playing games in the dark and creating nature crafts. We will be providing a hot soup with bread and cheese.
Come dressed for an autumnal walk in the woods with water proofs and wellies or similar to keep your feet dry. You might want to bring a full change of clothes with you, just in case. A head torch would be useful too but don't worry if you don't have one as we will have some spares. This is a phone free session if possible please. Leave them in your bags so we can properly experience all of the wonders of nature at night together.
