We’re excited to offer this hands-on workshop, focusing on the art of natural dyeing using food waste. For only £3, you'll discover how to transform everyday kitchen scraps into beautiful, sustainable dyes for fabrics. We’ll be using food waste like onion skins, pomegranate peels, avocado stones, and berries – harvested from our allotments and cookery courses – to create a range of vibrant, natural dyes. Learn how to turn kitchen waste into eco-friendly dyes and experiment with dyeing recycled silks and cotton fabrics. Feel free to bring along your own fabric swatches to add a personal touch!
This workshop is entirely nature-led and chemical-free, using only compostable, recyclable materials that are kind to the environment.
Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting a bit messy. Aprons will also be available.
