At my exhibition at London Textile week on the 26th September, at Museum of the Home ,between 10 to 12pm,what will a visitor learn by registering for the event?I thought I would answer this question here.
For fashion students, entrepreneurs, those interested in using natural dyes and conscious of the effects of textile waste on the environment, the exhibition showcases how single pieces of apparel can become statement pieces without a designer label.
How garment collection offcuts can be reused to design apparel, furnishing and rewoven into fabric .
Also a small collection of sustainable garments and accessories from the label, which include plant based fabric ,which even if it is thrown,God forbid, will disintegrate.
The label encourages the use of unstitched fabric, that can be refashioned into a tunic, saree ,sarong or scarf...
Do come or share this with friends in the UK who might be interested.
The registration fee includes a copy of my book that documents the journey of the label and interesting facts about natural dyes
