Overview
Learn all about working with native, wild, and homegrown medicinal herbs in this five part class series. Students will learn the basics of botany and plant identification; about native medicinal plants, how to identify and safely harvest them; growing a home herb garden, and making and using fresh medicinal plant extracts.
After attending this class, students will be comfortable and confident identifying, harvesting, and making extracts from wild medicinals as well as growing, harvesting and using homegrown fresh medicinal herbs. In addition to class materials, students will be invited to an online group for continued support and learning, will have access to a variety of print, and online resources, as well as introductions to other teachers, schools, and programs for continued learning.
