About this Event
Fall/Winter aren't just for planting in California! In fact, ongoing care for established native plants is beneficial all year round.
Join Horticulture Educator, Erik Blank, for an overview of seasonal maintenance practices and pruning techniques using practical examples to give you a solid foundation in assessing the needs of your native garden during the rainy season.
This walk and talk will be held outdoors in our demonstration gardens. We ask guests to wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, warm layers, and to prepare for up to one hour of walking on steep and uneven surfaces. Water bottles are recommended.
Erik Blank is a long-time California native plant enthusiast with professional experience in restoration, installation and maintenance. He joined the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers and Native Plants in 2020.
