Join us for our first ever native plant seed exchange, and help create more habitat for the birds and other wildlife! 🌼🐦 Native plants are vital to the survival of our backyard birds, butterflies, bees, pollinators and of course all the other wildlife we share space with. Studies have shown that in order to create viable habitat and support the birds, our gardens need to be made up of at least 70% native plants, trees, shrubs, ferns and grasses. As many of you are probably aware, we sell live native plants in the spring (May and June). This year for the first time, we are excited to be hosting a native plant seed exchange at both of our stores to help create even more habitat for the birds. You’ll definitely want to mark your calendars for these events! Our native plant seed exchanges will be taking place at:
Wild Birds Unlimited Newmarket (16655 Yonge Street, Unit 2, Newmarket) on Monday November 18 at 6:30-7:30 pm
Wild Birds Unlimited Barrie (515 Bryne Drive Unit B, Barrie) on Tuesday November 19 at 6:30- 7:30pm
