About this Event
Walk with a Master Gardener through the natural area at the east end of the Florida Botanical Gardens. Learn about the native ecosystems and plants found in our natural area.
Limited to groups of 20. Hikers please wear closed-toe shoes and bring proper sun/insect protection and a refillable water bottle. Hike will be cancelled without notice in the event of rain or other inclement weather. Please check local forecast before arriving.
Tour will begin near the restrooms in the Florida Botanical Gardens near the entrance to the wedding garden. This is on the east side of the gardens, not the main entrance, lobby, or main parking. The closest parking is the entrance located off of Walsingham Road in parking lot 4, please see map at: https://www.flbgfoundation.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=479557&module_id=395026.
Plan to walk and talk for up to 2 hours. There are benches at intervals along the trail but terrain is uneven.
Reservation policy: Before continuing, we would like to make you aware of our reservation policies. Cancellations - If your class is canceled for any reason you will be notified no less than 24 hours prior to class start, unless due to weather. We will provide a full refund for cancellations made by Pinellas County Extension. Refunds may take up to 30 days to process. Payment - We require full payment at time of reservation so be prepared with a credit card to complete this transaction. Refunds - Refunds will be made in the event of a class cancellation or if the registrant requests a refund 24 hours prior to the class time. Reservations - You must be 18 to make a reservation. If you are under 18 and want to attend a class you must register and attend with a parent or guardian.
