Native Garden Install at Bill Bean Jr. Memorial Park

In partnership with the City of Sacramento’s Community Garden Department, the Deadzone Destroyers will be installing a new public native garden at Bill Bean Jr. Memorial Park. This garden will create vital habitat for local pollinators, educate park visitors about the direct connection between our food and the pollinators that sustain it, and beautify the space while conserving water through the use of drought-tolerant native plants.

We will be weeding, planting, and mulching the area. Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves and a reusable water bottle. All tools will be provided, along with water and snacks to keep everyone fueled during our workday!
