Please join the New Castle Chapter of the Archaeological Society of Delaware in a special workshop focused on Native American Pottery of Delaware. This workshop will include a presentation by previous Director of the Division of Historical and Cultural Affairs for the State of Delaware and Native American Pottery expert Dan Griffith followed by a hands-on workshop. The workshop will include utilizing a hands-on identification activity where you will identify real artifacts utilizing Mr. Griffith’s presentation along with a pottery identification handout. You will use this information to create identify and interpret the periods of site occupation for the samples you identify.This presentation is free and open to the public, however, we do ask all that are able to pre-register for this workshop to do so utilizing the link below. This will help us to ensure we have enough materials for all those interested in the workshop.
