The focus of the seminar is on umpired fleet. But most of the issues discussed are also relevant and applicable in match race. You have the option of doing the National Umpire written exam in either fleet, or match.
Requirements: Participants should have an understanding of the game of sailing and know part 2 of the Racing Rules of Sailing (when boats meet), Addendum Q for umpired fleet racing (and also Appendix C for match racing).
Language: default language is English, but clarifications can be made in both Finnish and Swedish.

Price: 80e, includes teaching, materials, test and lunch/coffee/etc.
On Sunday you have the opportunity to take the written test, which you need to pass in order to arrange for an on-the-water-assessment. Once you pass these two you can apply for the national umpire status.
There is a chance to practice on the water umpiring at least at NJK's weekly Center Cup match races and also during the autumn in the Finnish Sailing League. If you wish to take part in that, contact Juuso at address below.
You can get a 50 euro subsidy if
- you are NJK Sailing Center member,
- pass the written exam after the course,
- pass the on the water assessment later in the year
- commit to umpiring in at least two events during this coming season and applying the NU status after you have enough events on your cv

KANSALLINEN EROTUOMARISEMINAARI
Kansallinen erotuomariseminaari yritetään järjestää jälleen.
Aika: 10.-11.4. (La noin 10-17 ja su 9-16. noin aikoja)
Seminaarin fokus on tuomaroidussa fleet racessa, mutta suurin osa asioista on suoraan sovellettavissa myös match raceen. Voit valita, teetkö kansallisen tuomarin kirjallisen kokeen fleetissä, vai matchissa.
Esitietovaatimukset: Sinun tulisi ymmärtää fleet ja match race kisamuotona, osata Racing Rules of Sailing osa 2 (when boats meet), Addendum Q umpired fleet race (sekä sääntöjen liite C (match race)).
Opetuskieli: Lähtökohtaisesti englanti, mutta kysymyksiä voi esittää myös suomeksi ja ruotsiksi.
Kurssin vetäjä: kansainvälinen erotuomari ja kansainvälinen tuomari Mats Björklund
Hinta: 80e. Sisältää opetuksen, opetusmateriaalit, kokeen sekä lounaat ja kahvit/teet.
