About this Event
Transport Scotland has launched the National Speed Management Review Consultation which seeks to gather public and stakeholder input on proposed changes to Scotland's speed limits at this in-person event.
The National Speed Management Review seeks to ensure speed limits in Scotland are appropriate and contribute to reducing injuries and deaths on our roads. It invites feedback on proposals to lower the national speed limit on single carriageway roads from 60 mph to 50 mph and to increase speed limits for goods vehicles over 7.5 tonnes on single carriageways to from 40 mph to 50 mph, and on dual carriageways from 50 mph to 60mph.
The in-person engagement event will be held from 3pm - 7pm and is a drop-in session, to give the public the opportunity to ask questions and give input. Information about the proposed change to Scotland's national speed limit will be available at the event. Transport Scotland staff and their WSP consultant will be available to answer any questions on the consultation.
Tickets for the public consultation are free and are being used to anticipate turn out. As the venue has a maximum capacity, for health and safety reasons, we encourage you to register for a ticket.
