I am a collector. Always looking, finding … and keeping!

Join us for a special book reading to celebrate Australian author Aura Parker’s Bowerbird Blues as part of 2024 National Simultaneous Storytime. Starring a beautiful bowerbird on the search for blue, this is a moving story of longing and connection that inspires imagination, courage and confidence in young readers as well as a love, curiosity and passion for nature.
Come connect with Queensland Museum Kurilpa’s storyteller in the Squid Lounge on Level 2, then head to Level 4 to see the Satin Bowerbird in Wild State.
National Simultaneous Storytime is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association. Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.
Free, but bookings are essential. Call (07) 3153 4401 or email [email protected]
