Celebrate National Public Lands Day by joining Hill Country Conservancy in keeping the Violet Crown Trail clean and beautiful!
About this Event

Join Hill Country Conservancy board and committee members on National Public Lands Day for a morning trail cleanup at the Dick Nickols Violet Crown Trail trailhead!

We'll kick off the morning by learning a little about the newly-installed Whirlpool Patio, the nearby Whirlpool cave, and our exciting upcoming plans for this part of the trail. Then, we'll head off down the trail to pick up trash and remove graffiti to keep the VCT clean and beautiful.

The Violet Crown Trail is truly one of Austin's jewels but it takes a community to keep it maintained and safe for everyone to use. National Public Lands Day is a great time to show your commitment to the trail through volunteering. We hope you will join us for a fun and productive National Public Lands Day!

Please note: As recommended by Austin's Parks & Recreation Department, this volunteer opportunity will be limited to 25 attendees, and masks will be required for safety. Please RSVP to ensure you receive important details and updates about this event. We may not be able to accommodate walk-up attendees due to space limitations.
