The National Poetry Slam heat is back. 2025 was the first year that this national festival held a state heat in the regions. It was the next step in raising the profile of poetry and spoken word, positioning the genre as an engaging and must-see performance. The winner of our 2025 heat, Kym Dee, went on to win the state final and is now off to Sydney Opera House for the national finals. Bunbury Fringe is paving the way for future regional poets to perform on a national stage, so come be entertained while supporting new, emerging talent.
