Join us for another exciting National Play Outside Day event!
These events are held on the first Saturday of every month at various locations in and around Chattanooga to help promote outdoor play for children and their families.
We'll be kicking off the New Year at Blue Blazes Trail with a fun Egg Carton Snowman Craft for kids of all ages to enjoy! You bring the creativity, and we'll bring the materials to make these cool little friends before we take a hike to explore the many wonders of nature.

Requirements: ALL attendees MUST have a 2025 waiver on file. Forms for minors are to be completed by a legal guardian.

We will meet at the trail head next to the parking lot.
Please make sure everyone in your group is dressed in weather appropriate clothing. Kids should wear clothes that are okay to get dirty, wet, or otherwise messed up and consider bringing a spare set for afterward. Please be aware that this trail can get very muddy if it rains so be prepared. We also recommend bringing water and some snacks.
All guardians must remain with and are responsible for their own children at all times. By attending this event, you accept all possible risks for yourself and children and acknowledge that facilitators and other members are not liable for any damages including but not limited to injuries, illnesses, lost or damaged property, etc.
