The National Photographic Portrait Prize 2023 (NPPP) is a touring exhibition from the National Portrait Gallery. It was established by the National Portrait Gallery in 2007 and attracts thousands of entries each year.Open to established, emerging and amateur practitioners, the NPPP celebrates Australian photographers, and the power of photographic portraiture to communicate something beyond the appearance of subjects – their quirks, flaws, strengths, or vulnerabilities.
Out of 2,300 entries, 47 finalists were chosen to be displayed in the touring exhibition. See the winning photographs in slq Gallery until 7 July 2024.
