National Philanthropy Day is a special event dedicated to celebrating and recognizing the power of giving back.National Philanthropy Day®, nationally recognized each year in November, acknowledges the entire spectrum of services provided by the nonprofit community and recognizes the profound impact that philanthropy has on the fabric of society. And, each year AFP honors individuals and groups who, through their hard work and dedication, have enhanced philanthropy, their communities and the world.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals Northeast Iowa chapter annually recognizes the wonderful people that give of their heart to make our community a better place through five Gift of the Heart categories. Traditionally, each award recipient has the opportunity to donate $250.00 to the charity of their choice, in honor of their award, sponsored by the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa.
