
About this Event
JuJuan Mitchell is a community leader and social justice advocate. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2008 and focused on bringing awareness of the disease to her community. In 2023, JuJuan co-founded the A Balance for MS Foundation, LLC dedicated to guiding individuals through the emotional journey of MS with a focus on grieving, understanding, and thriving. Beyond her role as a mental health advocate, JuJuan actively serves on various boards such as Wake Forest Community Table and Doris Jean Carmichael Baynes Foundation that champion equality for marginalized communities, using her experience and positive mindset to connect and uplift those around her. Graduate of Saint Augustine's University, raised in Kinston, NC & attends Watts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Capital Area Section of National Council for Negro Women. She is the proud daughter of Ella M. Clarke and Obie Mitchell. JuJuan works full-time at a Fortune 500 IT company as a project manager.
