🎯 Celebrate National Hunting & Fishing Day at HCC! 🎣🦅🌲Join us on Saturday, September 27, from 10 AM to 4 PM at Haywood Community College for a FREE family-friendly celebration of our conservation heritage. This exciting event will feature interactive demonstrations, archery, falconry presentations, food trucks, giveaways, vendors, and the always popular HCC Lumberjack Team demonstration. Families can also enjoy activities like fish printing at the Millhouse, backyard bass, and hands-on learning from a wide variety of conservation partners.
Don’t miss the Wildlife Encounter at Noon, featuring Rachel Hart from Balsam Mountain Trust and her incredible wildlife friends. Confirmed vendors and partners include Ducks Unlimited, Bearwise NCWRC, Crabtree Retrievers, Haywood Waterways, NC Wildlife Enforcement, RMEF, USDA Wildlife Services, USFS–Pisgah, Western Carolina University, and many others—plus unique activities like virtual reality experiences.
Food trucks will be available throughout the day, and all activities are completely free and open to the public. Come celebrate National Hunting & Fishing Day with Haywood Community College and the NC Wildlife Commission, and enjoy a day of conservation, education, and family fun!
