Join National Gallery curator Dr Mary McMahon for insights into Constable’s iconic work. In her talk she will be offering insight into Constable’s iconic landscape, the context of its production, and the afterlife of the painting.
Dr Mary McMahon is Associate Curator (NG200 Collections) at the National Gallery.
She worked on Constable: The Making of a Master in 2014 and Botticelli Reimagined in 2016 at the V&A, The Making of Mary Seton Watts at Watts Gallery and Reimagining Captain Cook: Pacific Perspectives at the British Museum in 2018-19. She is co-curator of the National Gallery’s upcoming exhibition Discover Constable and The Hay Wain.
