There are only 25 spaces, first come first serve.
During the day I will guide you through my career handling and training of police service dogs (focus mainly on detection dogs).
The day will be a mix of classroom presentations / conversations and practical demonstrations.
I will talk about the different roles within police detection and share my story of training the first dogs in British policing to find digital storage devices.
I will explain selection processes, different training ideas for imprinting, developing detailed searches, and how to train an exceptional indication.
Hopefully I will dispel some myths about police dog training also.
I have a number of dogs at home and during the day I will demonstrate different aspects of the presentations, you may even get to have a go at handling.
The cost of the day is £80, and will include some refreshments in the morning and afternoon.
Please make your own arrangements for lunch.
In the event of bad weather I will contact you about postponement or parking in Bovey Tracey and operating a park and ride service to the venue.
Please don’t bring dogs unless absolutely necessary.
Please reply for banking details . Payment will secure your place.
Kindest regards
Graham Attwood
