Tuesday, September 30th, marks National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. On this day, we honour the children who never returned home, survivors of residential schools and their families.
In partnership with the City of Edmonton, the Indigenous Peoples Experience at Fort Edmonton Park will be open as a ticketed event on Tuesday, September 30th, offering you the opportunity to seek out the truths as lived by Indigenous peoples after the formation of Canada.
Event Schedule:
9:30 AM - 10:30 AM | Opening Ceremony
11:00 AM | Ticketed Access Begins

Ages 12+ are $5.00 per guest
Ages 11 & under are FREE
Fort Edmonton Park is proud to formally partner with the Confederacy of Treaty Six First Nations and the Métis Nation of Alberta. In the spirit of reconciliation and in honour of their crucial role in stewardship, storytelling, and shaping Amiskwaciwâskahikan/Edmonton, free admission is offered to all Indigenous Peoples. Indigenous guests may self-declare at the Box Office on the day of their visit or select tickets online in advance.
Proceeds from admission will support the continued development of Indigenous educational programming at Fort Edmonton Park. Thank you for your support.

9:30 AM | Opening Ceremony
Location: Front Entry
All guests are welcome to join for our Opening Ceremony. Guests will be asked to leave after the ceremony and return for their timed entry.
11:00 AM & 1:00 PM (45 Minutes Each) | Balance "miyo-mahcihoyān"
