About this Event
Join us for a thrilling day of bushcraft exploration and culinary delights for you and your kids as we delve into the heart of nature at Pulau Ubin.
Our adventure begins with a safety briefing, ensuring that everyone is well-prepared for the activities ahead.
Get your hands dirty as we gather firewood and prepare the fire pit for an authentic outdoor cooking experience. Learn the art of bushcraft as we teach you how to process firewood and master fire-making and management techniques.
The real excitement begins with our mini-bushcraft session on outdoor cooking using bamboo over an open fire. Participants will have the opportunity to get hands-on with food preparation, including preparing the bamboo, rice, and raw ingredients for cooking.
Next, we'll come together to prepare a simple yet delicious meal cooked in bamboo, native-style. Known as "pansuh", this traditional cooking method requires patience and skill as we cook rice, chicken, meat, veggies inside bamboo tubes over the open fire. Compete with your fellow participants to see who can cook the best meal!
If time permits, we'll venture out to explore the surrounding area near Jelutong Campsite or Ubin Jetty, depending on the tide. It's a chance to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Pulau Ubin and create unforgettable memories with new friends.
