In celebration of National Canadian Film Day, the Embassy of Canada is pleased to present a free screening of 'Universal Language' on April 24th, Thursday, 6pm, at the Embassy's Maple Leaf Room, 8/F Tower 2, RCBC Plaza, 6819 Ayala Ave, Makati City.Admission is free but seats are limited.

'Universal Language' was Canada's entry to the 2024 Academy Awards' Best International Feature category. It also won the Director's Fortnight Audience Award at the Festival de Cannes in 2023.
Set in an alternate universe where Canada’s official languages are French and Persian, this charming and surreal fable follows a triptych of seemingly unrelated stories of people navigating through a bleak Winnipeg winter. Behind layers of eclecticism is a poignant message about the depth and importance of human connection and understanding.
