Every year, National Arbor Day is celebrated the last Friday in April. This year 2024 the theme is ' Ensuring our earth and the trees upon it are all happy, healthy, and growing to be as strong as they possibly can be' But do you know WHO started National Arbor Day and WHY ? By a man who loved trees, and planted hundreds possibly thousands. This year we want to plant at Mooney Grove Park, a Valley Oak tree, and dedicate it to The Michael & Eliza Mooney family.What is now the ballfield, was the Ranch house and stables where The Mooney family lived.
