Join us as we honor the invaluable contributions of Arab Americans and commemorate National Arab American Heritage Month with public officials, community leaders, cultural performances, and authentic Arab cuisine.
At a time when Arab Americans are being excluded from diverse initiatives and subjected to discriminatory discourse, it is more important than ever to affirm our identity, celebrate our contributions, and push back against dehumanizing narratives that misrepresent us.
Arab America Foundation, in collaboration with the Arabs at Amazon, invite you to commemorate National Arab American Heritage Month, which recognizes the rich culture, resilience, and achievements of Arab Americans.
This event is a vital opportunity to stand for inclusion, challenge misconceptions, and ensure that Arab American voices are heard and valued in corporate and public spaces.
In 2025, we honor the legendary Umm Kalthoum, marking 50 years since her passing in 1975. Known as the Nightingale of the Arab World, her iconic voice inspires generations. To pay tribute, we proudly present the Umm Kulthum Ensemble from NYC, featuring Egyptian vocalist Marwa Morgan.
About National Arab American Heritage Month
Throughout April, the Arab America Foundation formally recognizes the achievements of Arab Americans through the celebration of National Arab American Heritage Month. Across the country, cultural institutions, school districts, municipalities, state legislatures, public servants, and non-profit organizations issue proclamations and engage in special events celebrating our community’s rich heritage and numerous contributions to society.
In 2017, Arab America took the concept of cultural heritage. It turned it into a national movement where Arab Americans and their supporters recognized it during the same month for the same duration, hence designating April as National Arab American Heritage Month.
Since then, the number of states, governmental offices, organizations, and corporations has increased in their recognition of April as National Arab American Heritage Month. Now, each year, our grass-roots network of over 250 Arab American volunteers, educators, and social justice activists in 28 states gathers proclamations from their states, counties, municipalities, and local school districts and organizes numerous events.
