Nathan James Band

Never one to follow convention, and always one to think for himself, Nathan James has created a musical identity with his homemade instruments and self taught skills. When you catch Nathan pickin' and scratchin' on his own invention of washboard guitar, while fronting his band the 'Rhythm Scratchers', you are sure to be moved and impressed with a truly original sound. Together they draw from a deep well of influences in the American roots rhythm and blues genres.

Members of the band were first call musicians for the late blues legend James Harman. They also regularly back up blues legends Kim Wilson of the Fabulous Thunderbirds, as well as Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers. Special guest drummer for this show is Stephen Hodges who spent many years touring with gospel legend Mavis Staples in her band.

Desert Blues Revival at the Cascade Lounge offers state-of-the-art sound and lighting with pristine acoustics and plush seating.

Food is not served in the Cascade Lounge but can be brought in from any of the casino restaurants. We do have a full bar with no drink minimums.
