About this Event

Certified Master Dog Trainer Nate Schoemer invites you and your dog(s) to join him for a crash course in mastering the art of dog training.

This seminar is designed for dogs of any age who are friendly with new dogs and people and want to improve their manners.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Are you struggling with everyday training habits?

Does your dog bark at other dogs, people, or both?

Does your dog pull you down the street on walks?

Is your dog a jumper?

Have you ever wished your dog would actually come when called? Or does your dog have “selective” attention?

Well, you are in luck because Nate Schoemer will cover the step-by-step proven scientific process of dog training. If you can understand and apply the science, you can teach your dog any desired command!

Techniques taught and demonstrated include:

• Learning the three primary principles of dog training; timing, motivation, and consistency

• Developing your communication channels (also known as “markers” or “conditioned reinforcers”)

• Engagement training

• Physical Cues

• Leash Pressure

• Putting a command to the behavior

• Teaching the stay command

• Teaching reliability by adding corrections

Dog training is an art form, and it takes years to become an expert. However, through the essentials taught during this seminar, anybody can take their dog ownership to the next level right away. Although you won’t master this field overnight, you can quickly develop at least the essential skills needed to fix the majority of issues that dog owners face. In addition, you’ll discover a greater relationship with your dog, as you now have the tools to address the bad behaviors that may have frustrated you or pushed you further away from your companion. Nate strongly believes that improving the lives of dogs, along with their owners, is the most important thing.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Classes take place outdoors and will be limited to 15 dogs to ensure individual attention. Please note that this class is designed for dogs who are comfortable with new dogs and people. If your dog is reactive or becomes overexcited around new dogs and people, we suggest you inquire about Nate’s private training sessions. All attendees will be provided a confirmation email along with a digital download of Nate Schoemer’s dog training manual.

Please note the following guidelines and reminders in advance of the training seminar:

• Dog handlers must be 13 years of age or older.

• Dog handlers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

• There must also be at least one adult present for every child under the age of 13.

• There is only one handler allowed per dog. If more than one person is attending with a dog, one person will be designated to participate as the handler, and additional attendees will observe.

• Dog handlers must wear closed-toed shoes.

• Dog handlers must bring a four or six-foot, non-retractable leash.

• Dogs must wear a flat collar, cloth Martingale, or prong collar. If you keep your dog on a harness, please make sure that you also bring a collar.

• We recommend avoiding giving treats to your dog for a few hours prior to class, and only a light meal if necessary- a hungry dog is a motivated learner!

• Please bring plenty of your dog’s favorite treats!

Nate Schoemer is an American dog training and canine educational expert and former United States Marine. He was certified as a Professional and Master Dog Trainer through the Tom Rose School, where he graduated at the top of his class in both the Professional and Master Dog Trainer programs, where he was later invited to be an assistant instructor.

Nate began using his extensive experience to help many canine professionals establish their own similar companies. Eventually, Nate’s career culminated with the creation of Nate Schoemer’s Dog Training, with a mission of improving the lives of dogs and their owners through education.

In 2017, Nate’s dog training caught the attention of Animal Planet, and was cast as the co-host of Rescue Dog to Super Dog; the UK show that was formatted for American audiences. In the show, Nate transformed rescue dogs into service dogs to help the lives of people affected by disabilities.

More recently, Nate joined forces with the non-profit Operation Therapy Dog with a two-part mission of helping veterans and training service dogs for the disabled. He is the head of canine operations for Operation Therapy. He has designed their premier training program matching the ideal training techniques with the proper physical and mental developmental period of a dog’s life. His approach to training virtually eliminates the amount of time a dog ever has to spend in a kennel for the benefit of the dog, the trainer, and the veteran.

Lastly, Nate created a YouTube channel to help continue his mission of improving the lives of all dogs by educating those that care for them.

He prides himself on his self-motivation, honesty, integrity, enthusiasm, and determination to serve his clients and his community in all of his endeavors. He currently works on his entrepreneurial activities and lives with his Malinois, Arih, and Labrador, Charlie.
