About this Event

We are excited to be joined by poet and writer , who will be discussing her most recent memoir, (Ecco Press, 2020).

This event is open to the broader Evanston & Chicago public.

Professor Trethewey served two terms as poet laureate of the United States. In addition to her recent memoir, she is the author of five collections of poetry and a book of non-fiction. Trethewey is the recipient of fellowships from the Academy of American Poets, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Guggenheim Foundation, and others. Professor Trethewey is a fellow of both the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Currently, she is Board of Trustees Professor of English at Northwestern University.
