For 2026, San Diego Public Library and the University of San Diego Copley Library present: We are Each Other's Harvest with Natalie Baszile as part of our annual Black History Month author series.

==== About the Book & Author ====
We are Each Other's Harvest: Celebrating African American Farmers, Land & Legacy is Natalie Baszile's new non-fiction book that features a mix of essays, poems, portraits, narratives and more.
This collection tells the story of the connection of Black people to the land from Emancipation to the present. With a desire to shift the narrative around agriculture, farming and labor, Baszile shares the stories of Black farmers and land stewards.
Natalie Baszile has a M.A. in Afro-American Studies from UCLA, and an MFA from Warren Wilson College's MFA Program for Writers. She is the author of the novel, Queen Sugar, which was adapted for seven television seasons and nominated for an NAACP Image Award.

==== Additional Lecture at USD ====
A second author talk, held inside the Mother Hill room of USD Copley Library will take place on Monday, February 23 at 7 p.m. and will follow a similar format. This program is open to the public and refreshments will be available for attendees.

San Diego Central Library offers visitors up to 2 hours free parking in the underground garage with a validated ticket on regular days.
The library is one block from the Park & Market stop on the Trolley Blue and Orange lines. Bus routes 12, 901, and 929 stop right in front of the library at the 11th Avenue and K Street stop.
