About this Event
Soundart Radio 102.5fm invites you to down tools and join us on December 19th 2025 – the night of “Nasty Friday”– known as the most badly-behaved night on the British calendar. It’s on Nasty Friday that swathes of the population surge out of their workplaces pay packets in hand, giddy at the start of the xmas hols, seeking a night of revelry and chaos.
The venue is the Soundart Studio (a.k.a the Rat and Emu) at Higher Close, Dartington. Dress code: Wrong Workwear
We’ll have the debut gig of The Heavy Bear along with plenty of dance floor action with DJ's from Bizarre Rituals and Soundart Radio. With vegan food from 6pm for anyone coming straight from the office.
The Heavy Bear are a new three piece Totnes/Plymouth outfit playing alt/art rock with a slice of heavy disco. They’ll be joined by DJs Tzararadio playing an anarchic fanfarade for you to make your entrance - to bounce, jiggle and blow off a little steam with punchy queer crank-Christmas punk , Erf-ling will be recharging our party mojo with some high quality acid techno, Kerry and Casio assures us she will be playing Safe for Work Ghetto Tech, Hannah (Tofuti Klien) Drayson is returning from the grave (no really she’s fine, just tired) with favourite 90’s cancelled donk edits and fatuous chat. Amy Glover is considering a debut behind the decks with a selection of art rock and 2006 kitchen favourites and your man French Tony is gonna dust off some afro-funk wonky disco party tunes.
