Here's a little about our guest songwriters:
Matt Warren, who graced our stage in the fall of 2021, is a Nashville native who made his staff songwriter debut in 2002 at House of Fame in Muscle Shoals, AL. Matt's first cut was Puttin’ Memories Away, co-written with Gary Allan. It was featured in Rolling Stone magazine and on the Oprah Winfrey Show when Gary was her guest. In 2009 he won an ASCAP award for the top 10 hit Learning How to Bend. In 2013 he received an ASCAP award for the #1 smash Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain), which was also nominated for the 2014 ACM Song of the Year. Love Let It Do What It Do by Robert Randolph & the Family Band featuring Darius Rucker, co-written with Matt, was the lead single from the Got Soul record nominated for Blues Record of the Year at the 2018 Grammy Awards. Matt’s songs have been recorded by Gary Allan, Darius Rucker, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Andy Frasco & the UN, Bucky Covington, Americana music icon Jim Lauderdale, Pittsburgh blue collar rock legend Joe Grushecky, The Voice season 17 winner Jake Hoot and many others. Matt currently has four songs on the latest Gary Allan record Ruthless.
As an artist, he has recorded his own songs for his 2013 solo record Self-titled as well as his band Papa Joe in 2001. His latest project is his band Goodfoot. Their debut record Explosion of Love is dropping in the fall of 2023.
Dave Pahanish is a three-time #1 hit Billboard Country songwriter and producer. Dave penned Toby Keith’s American Ride, Jimmy Wayne’s Do You Believe Me Now?, and Keith Urban’s Without You.
Other notable cuts by Dave include Tim McGraw's Right Back Atcha Babe and The One That Got Away, Jimmy Wayne's I Will, Emily West's Completely Yours and Collin Raye’s Divine Everlasting Love.
As a performer, he has released six albums and has toured as a solo act for almost thirty years. He is a two-time veteran of the Country Throwdown Tour and has shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Eric Church, Little Big Town, Jamie Johnson, Eric Paslay, Montgomery Gentry, Eli Young Band, Old Dominion, Todd Snider, Leon Russell, and many others.
Hope to see y'all there!
