Join John and Jenae, on this jam-packed weekend full of dynamic acro skills! We are excited to visit Nashville and bring some of our favorite content to share with you all. The workshops will be taught in an accessible, progressive way allowing for multiple levels of learning.
Newer practitioners to these skills can expect to learn clean fundamentals, progressions, and safety. More experienced attendees will refine their technique and work towards larger skills and connecting skills in tempo.

FRIDAY 3/21
Tempo Icarian 7:00p- 9:30p
Let's get the weekend started off right with some clean, precise icarian pops. We'll be focusing on the fundamentals of tempo with emphasis on refining your connection and readability.
Prereqs: basic icarian experience, a variety of straight throws
SATURDAY 3/22
Rotating Tarzan Whipops 3:00p- 5:30p
We'll start with a refresher on tarzans, then share the techniques we use for tarzan whipops with rotation. Possible skill focuses include tarzan to reverse throne, tarzan bird 360, tarzan to bed, etc.
Prereqs: Experience with whips and icarian pops from bird
Popping Back Whips 7:00p- 9:30p
Refresh your backwhip technique to make them pop-able! Any skill from tarzan can also be done from a back whip. We'll focus on front facing back whips, then move on the the more challenging reverse facing back whips!

SUNDAY 3/23
Icarian Cascades and Corbets 12:00p- 2:30p
Throwing and catching star and reverse star can be scary and rev up your nervous system - we have loads of progressions to ease your way into these elusive skills. Those newer to Icarian will learn strong foundations of the techniques we use, and more seasoned practitioners will learn how to advance there practice by adding elements of twisting rotation.
Prereqs: Comfort getting into star and reverse star, basic icarian transitions

John is the owner of The MVMT Collective, located in Meriden, Connecticut. With over a decade of experience as a movement instructor, he began his movement journey competing in powerlifting then diversifying into various practices such as snowboarding, aerial straps, rock climbing, and hand balancing. His true passion is acro, dissecting and creating skills. He loves diving into the intricacies of partner acrobatics in all its forms. You can catch him crafting swift and seamless washing machines, executing precise whipops, and unveiling distinctive icarian skills.
Jenae is an acro teacher and creator who believes that acro is a powerful way to build community. Jenae empowers students to build a sustainable, long term practice through effective communication, strong fundamentals and pattern recognition. Jenae enjoys all genres of acro but excels in icarian, standing dynamics and free balancing. She is a fan of unique flows and sequences and wants to help students approach their practice with creativity.
