Keep Suffolk Beautiful invites individuals, families, and groups to participate in the Nansemond River Cleanup on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The cleanup includes both land and water-based opportunities.Volunteers with kayaks or canoes are especially needed to help clean from the river. Please bring your own watercraft. A limited number of kayaks are available for rent on-site, first come, first served.
Meeting Location:
Constant’s Wharf Park & Marina
100 East Constance Rd., Suffolk, VA 23434
We’ll begin with registration, distribute supplies, and then head out to nearby cleanup sites.
Cleanup supplies provided:
• Reflective vests
• Grabbers (including extended ones for water-based volunteers)
• Gloves
• Trash bags
Land-based volunteers can clean from the wharf or be directed to other local areas needing attention.
