Revelry welcomes Imani Burns for her debut solo show, Nanigi. NANIGI, meaning “my heart” in Garifuna, is an offering of the artist herself. This work explores identity, spirituality, and love, drawing inspiration from the artist’s home country of Belize. Working with a mix of mediums allows her to stay close to the natural world and to her own quirky rhythm. These materials ground the work and create a sense of calm, holding space for both softness, strength, and a bit of whimsy.
